User Roles & Access

Understand the different roles available in your Wonda Labs hub

Written by Elie Mietkiewicz

Overview

Wonda Labs uses a single level of roles to control what people can do in your hub. These hub-level roles define what each member can create, manage, and access across your Spaces and Experiences.

Hub-Level Roles

When inviting someone to your hub, you assign them one of three roles:

Admin Full control over the hub. Admins can access and edit all Spaces and Experiences, create new Spaces, manage hub settings, configure integrations, and invite members at any role level including Manager and Admin.

Manager Managers can create new Spaces and duplicate existing ones, but can only access Spaces they own or have been explicitly invited to. This is the right role for team members or faculty who need to build and manage their own content independently without broader hub access.

Default Default is the base role for anyone in the hub. Default members cannot create Spaces and can only access Spaces they have been explicitly invited to. This is the appropriate role for most collaborators and participants.

Note: In practice, the Admin panel is the right place to invite Admins and Managers only. Default members are best invited directly through a Space — they are automatically added to the hub with Default rights when a Space invitation is sent to them.

How to Assign and Manage Roles

From Hub Settings, Admins can:

  • Invite new members by email and assign them a role directly

  • Share the hub invitation link — members joining via this link are added with Default rights automatically

  • View all hub members and their current role

  • Change a member's role at any time

  • Remove a member from the hub entirely

For step-by-step instructions on hub settings, see Edit your Hub Settings.
