By using LTI, users who log in to your LMS are automatically logged in Wonda.

This allows:

  • to identify users and generate a session analytics report for each of these individual user logged in your LMS directly from within Wonda without asking users to log in twice (both in your LMS and in Wonda)

  • to transfer completion and scoring information automatically from Wonda into your LMS (see more about scoring here)

Enable and set up LTI in Wonda (for Wonda admin only)

1. Go to your Hub Settings by clicking on your name in the upper right window.
From here open the General Settings.

2. Go to Integrations Tab and Select LTI, then enable the LTI for your Hub.

3. Here you can find the LTI Configuration parameters (Consumer Key, Secret and URL) you would need to copy in your LMS (see below).

Keep this tab open as you'll need these values later.

Note: We support LTI version 1.1, if you need support for 1.3 please contact us.

Enable Wonda in Blackboard (for Blackboard admin only)

  1. As a blackboard admin, go to “System Admin“, then “Integrations”, and find “LTI Tool Providers

  2. Click “Register LTI 1.1 Provider

  3. As provider domain, enter crud.spaces.wondavr.com

  4. For the tool configuration, if you have only one Hub, choose “Set Globally“ for the key and secret configuration, otherwise the Tool Provider Key and Tool Provider Secret will need to be defined per experience

  5. Enter the Tool Provider Key and Tool Provider Secret (can be found in the Wonda Admin Panel under Integrations > LTI)

  6. It is important that blackboard shares user email addresses with Wonda through LTI, otherwise the LTI connection may not allow an experience creator to find their own experiences from Wonda when trying to integrate it via LTI.

  7. After the tool is created, go to Manage Placements, and create a new Placement

  8. Enter a label and handle for your placement.

  9. As placement type, pick “Deep Linking content tool” (cannot be changed later)

  10. Activate Launch in New Window

  11. As Tool Provider URL, enter: https://crud.spaces.wondavr.com/api/lti/selection which is the link to the LTI content selection module

Add a Wonda course in Blackboard (for teachers)

  1. Login to blackboard as a Course Builder

  2. (Create a new course if necessary)

  3. In a Course, go to “Content”, then “Build Content”. Your Placement label should appear in the list of tools. Select it.

  4. Pick the Wonda Experience you want to integrate in your course.
Note: In this selection menu, all the experiences the user has editing access to can be found (all the experiences from Spaces the user participates to).
